Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of GridHabits (the "Service"), operated by Avez Khatri, a sole trader based in Leicester, United Kingdom ("we", "our", "us").

By downloading, installing, or using GridHabits, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old (or the minimum age of digital consent in your jurisdiction) to use GridHabits. If you are under the age of majority in your jurisdiction, you may only use the Service with the involvement of a parent or guardian.

By using the Service, you represent that you meet these eligibility requirements.

Your Account

You may use GridHabits without creating an account. If you choose to sign in with Apple or Google, you are responsible for:

• Maintaining the security of your authentication credentials
• All activities that occur under your account
• Notifying us promptly of any unauthorised use

You agree to provide accurate information when signing in and to keep it current.

Acceptable Use

You agree to use GridHabits only for lawful purposes. You may not:

• Use the Service in violation of any law or regulation
• Attempt to gain unauthorised access to our systems or networks
• Reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract source code from the app
• Interfere with or disrupt the Service or related infrastructure
• Use automated means (bots, scrapers, scripts) to access the Service without our consent
• Resell, sublicense, or commercially exploit the Service
• Impersonate any person or entity
• Use the Service to harass, harm, or defraud others

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms.

Subscriptions and Purchases

4.1 Subscription Plans

GridHabits offers the following paid plans:

• Monthly: auto-renewing subscription, billed monthly
• Yearly: auto-renewing subscription, billed annually
• Lifetime: one-time purchase granting permanent access to Pro features for the supported lifetime of the Service

Current pricing is shown in the app at the time of purchase. Prices may vary by region and currency.

4.2 Billing

All purchases are processed through your platform's app store (Apple App Store or Google Play Store). You agree to the payment terms of the respective store at the time of purchase.

Subscription renewals occur automatically at the end of each billing period unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the renewal date. You can manage subscriptions through your device's account settings.

4.3 Free Trials

GridHabits does not currently offer free trials on any plan.

4.4 Refunds

Refund requests are handled by Apple App Store or Google Play Store directly, in accordance with their respective refund policies:

We do not process refunds directly. If you believe you were charged in error, please contact the relevant app store first.

4.5 Lifetime Plan

4.6 Free Tier Limitations

Users without an active Pro subscription may have feature limitations, including but not limited to:

• Limited number of active habits
• Restricted access to advanced features (custom streak emojis, past-day recovery, premium statistics)

Specific limits are subject to change as the Service evolves.

Intellectual Property

5.1 Our Rights

GridHabits, including its design, code, branding, logos, and content (excluding user-generated content), is owned by us and protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws. We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the Service for your personal, non-commercial use.

5.2 Your Content

Habit data and other content you create within the Service remains yours. By using the Service, you grant us a limited license to store, process, and display your content as necessary to provide the Service to you.

We do not claim ownership of your habit data. We do not use your habit data for any purpose other than operating the Service.

Service Availability

We aim to keep the Service available at all times, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted access. The Service may be:

• Temporarily unavailable due to maintenance, updates, or technical issues
• Subject to outages caused by third-party providers (Apple, Google, Render, MongoDB)
• Modified or updated without prior notice

The Service works offline for habit tracking. If our backend servers are unavailable, you can continue using the app locally. Sync will resume when servers are reachable.

Disclaimer of Warranties

The Service is provided "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties, including but not limited to:

• Warranties of merchantability
• Fitness for a particular purpose
• Non-infringement
• Accuracy, reliability, or completeness of content

GridHabits is a productivity tool. We do not represent that the Service will cure any habits, achieve any specific outcomes, or guarantee any particular results.

Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, in no event shall GridHabits, its operator, or affiliates be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to:

• Loss of profits, data, use, goodwill, or other intangible losses
• Damages resulting from your use or inability to use the Service
• Unauthorised access to or alteration of your data
• Conduct or content of any third party on the Service

Our total liability to you for all claims arising from or relating to the Service shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the event giving rise to the liability, or 50 GBP, whichever is greater.

Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion or limitation of certain warranties or damages. In such jurisdictions, our liability is limited to the greatest extent permitted by law.

Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless GridHabits, its operator, and affiliates from any claims, damages, losses, or expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from:

• Your use of the Service
• Your violation of these Terms
• Your violation of any rights of another party

Termination

10.1 By You

You may stop using the Service at any time. You may delete your account through the in-app Settings menu or by contacting us.

10.2 By Us

We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service at any time, with or without notice, for any reason, including but not limited to:

• Violation of these Terms
• Suspected fraudulent activity
• Prolonged inactivity
• Discontinuation of the Service

Upon termination, your right to use the Service ends immediately. Provisions of these Terms that by their nature should survive termination (including intellectual property, disclaimers, indemnification, and limitation of liability) will continue to apply.

Governing Law and Disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, without regard to conflict of law principles.

Any dispute arising from these Terms or the Service shall be resolved through the courts of England and Wales, except where local consumer protection law grants you the right to bring proceedings in your country of residence.

Nothing in these Terms affects your statutory rights as a consumer.

Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we will notify you by:

• Updating the "Last updated" date at the top of this page
• Showing an in-app notice for significant changes

Continued use of the Service after a change indicates acceptance of the updated Terms. If you do not agree with the changes, you should stop using the Service.

Apple App Store Additional Terms

If you accessed GridHabits through the Apple App Store, the following additional terms apply:

• These Terms are between you and us, not Apple. Apple is not responsible for the Service or its content.
• Apple has no obligation to provide maintenance or support for the Service.
• If the Service fails to conform to any applicable warranty, you may notify Apple, and Apple will refund the purchase price. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Apple has no other warranty obligation.
• Apple is not responsible for addressing claims by you or any third party relating to the Service.
• In the event of any third party claim that the Service or your possession and use of the Service infringes that third party's intellectual property rights, we (not Apple) will be solely responsible for the investigation, defense, settlement and discharge of any such intellectual property infringement claim.
• Apple and Apple's subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these Terms and may enforce these Terms against you.

Google Play Store Additional Terms

If you accessed GridHabits through the Google Play Store, you also agree to comply with the Google Play Terms of Service. The Service is licensed to you, not sold.

Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue in full force and effect.

Entire Agreement

These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and us regarding the Service and supersede any prior agreements.
